Our Location

The Keystone Auctions LLC main office occupies a beautiful historic building believed to have been built in the civil war era. It formerly housed the Visiting Nurses Association of York County. Keystone has been here since 2014. Located in the historic center of the City of York, we are two blocks from Continental Square.

York, founded as Yorktown in the year 1741, is known as the White Rose City, named after Engalnds's House of York, founded in the 14th century. The usage of "White Rose" dates back to this time. Lancaster, a ways across the Susquehanna River, is known as the Red Rose City.

York served as the temporary capital of the Continental Congress during the American Revolutionary War. Congress drafted and adopted the Articles of Confederation in York. This document was the first agreement to form the 13 colonies, establishing independence from England. There is some debate as to whether York was the first or fourth Capital of the United States.

James Smith, a colonel of the Pennsylvania militia during the revolutionary War, is one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and is buried in the impressive First Presbyterian Church yard across the street from our building.

The York County History Center is very nearby at 250 E Market Street and a great place to visit if you want to learn more. Our Central Market, built in 1888, is at the corner of Philadelphia and Beaver Streets (5 blocks from us) and is a great place for breakfast or lunch.
